Travis Jones

Senior Pastor

Our Senior Pastor is Travis Jones. He has served the Highland Baptist Church Family since his arrival in August 2010.  Our church family has been blessed and challenged by bold, Biblical and practical teaching.

His passion for lost souls here and around the world, coupled with personal discipleship enables our Church Family to apply God’s word to everyday life. His blog, “Chill Out and Serve”  encourages and challenges us during the week on thought provoking insights into God’s word.

A graduate from Texas Theological University and Seminary, located in Fort Worth, Texas, Pastor Travis holds a Master of Ministry degree. He also earned his Master of Missions degree from Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary, a Bachelor of Science degree in Ministry from Texas Theological University and Seminary, along with a certificate of diploma that transferred to an Associate degree in Bible from Independent Baptist College.

Pastor’s wife, Lanee’ is a preacher’s granddaughter, pastor’s daughter, a missionary’s daughter and spent a good portion of her childhood in South Africa. With her experiences, Lanee’ has been a great blessing to our ladies and an inspiration, by leading an example that God is in control, no matter the circumstances. Travis and Lanee’ were married in 1998, and have three adult children: Melissa, Madison and Maximus.
